Obligatory Introductory Nonsense

My name is Josephine Faye (they/she) and I'm a writer. I've been struggling to put together the right "cool" introduction to my blog, but the fact of the matter is, I absolutely hate writing about myself. Fictional people are far more favorable than me being vulnerable on the page. Sometimes, I struggle writing poems, which are more unspecific than this sort of thing. Alas, here we are.

I could give the same convoluted introduction I use for generic class discussions. It goes something like this — (ahem) Hi, I'm Jo. My pronouns are they/she, I'm an INFJ-T personality type, an enneagram 4, my Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw with a 'Puff rising, and I love superhero movies, pizza, and books.

I guess I could think of some interesting things about me, like the fact my socks never match, I only just learned how to cook, I drink too much coffee, and my Starbucks order sounds like an old man came up with it (Americano, all the way). I pray to Freddie Mercury as a method of manifestation, I'm Pagan, and I listen to 70s rock on the way to work to ground myself and get ready for the day. I feel like I sound more like a fictional person than a real-life one, but hey, that's showbiz, baby.

This blog is going to be about writing. Writing about writing is one of my preferred methods of procrastination. Though, I'm on a much-needed break after finishing the second draft of my five-year project, now clocking in at 120,000 words and nearly 500 pages. This blog is also going to be about music, mental health, general ramblings, and whatever else I decide to write about it before it inevitably gets abandoned to cyberspace.

Strap in, kids. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Sonderly,

Jo
